Spurge is all around us, and it is almost a certainty that you have seen it before. Spurge weeds have oval-shaped leaves arranged along a stem, and have an abundance of small seeds that can spread and cause more spurge to grow. Another identifying factor is spurge grows very low to the ground. Unlike some other common weeds, spurge tends to grow flat to the ground, and outward, while some other weeds grow upwards.

Spotting this weed early is crucial to controlling it. It is also important to remember that it is going to be an ongoing battle with spurge, but it is possible to control it with the right products. It is critical to use a selective herbicide to help remove this weed. These herbicides will specifically target the spurge weed.
